Some brands are built on trends. Thirteen Degrees South was built on something older — the intelligence of a landscape that has been perfecting its chemistry for millennia.

The story behind Thirteen Degrees South begins with a relationship. Founder & Managing Director, Mark Provost formed a rare friendship with the last known medicine man of the Simpson Desert — a man who led him on expeditions through some of the most remote country in Australia, revealing plants of extraordinary resilience and medicinal depth, and sharing knowledge held by his people for generations. That experience was formative. It made clear that the intelligence of this land was something the world deserved access to — and that bringing it forward demanded integrity above all else. 

Mark continues that work today from his base in the Tanami Desert, NT — developing formulas and sourcing ingredients in direct proximity to the landscape that inspires them.
